Do you know what would happen to Earth if it had no volcanoes?
Temperature of the core would constantly rise. So would pressure.
Originally solid layers would melt.
In some time, Earth's crust would get too thin.
It wouldn't be able to hold that boiling pressing mess inside.
It would break.
Earth would explode.

Or, if core hadn't enough power, whole Earth would turn into cold piece of dead stone.

Do you think it's different with people?
